Ignacio Tovar

Ignacio Tovar is an Operating Partner based in Madrid and is our expert in both enterprise/corporate dynamics and the travel vertical.

He began his career as an engineer in the aviation industry at Airbus. For nine years, he worked at the consulting firm Accenture, primarily within the Travel & Transportation Industry, focusing on digital businesses.

‍

In 2015, he joined Samaipata in its early days as a Principal, supporting the establishment of the first fund, fundraising, and deal management activities. In 2017, he joined the team at Iberia, part of the International Airlines Group (IAG), which includes British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Vueling. He currently serves as the Director of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Iberia.
