Ernesto Matos

Ernesto looks after our Platform operations and is based in Barcelona. He takes a data-driven approach to implementing and performance managing all initiatives designed to drive value for Portfolio Company founders.

As a mechanical engineer in his 8 year corporate journey, he has held various roles ranging from product development, research and development, and technical sales before expanding his business knowledge and pursuing an MBA from EADA Business School. Additionally, he feels fortunate about the cultural and global knowledge gathered while living abroad in 6 countries spanning 5 different continents that have shaped him into the person he is today.

Ernesto loves doing sports. He started playing tennis at the age of 4 and his friends would say that Ernesto's hobby is to have hobbies; everything from snowboarding, running, and golfing to surfing, kitesurfing, sailing, scuba diving, swimming - basically anything that involves the beach and keeps his Caribbean soul happy. Finally, a top item in his bucket list is to get behind the wheel of a Formula style car.
